Radio Veronica once again on 538 meters, 558 kHz. Latest news !!
August 31st 2009 is the 35th anniversary of the dramatic close down of Radio Veronica, Hollands first and by far most popular offshore radio station. As announced before, Spectrum Radio in London and Radio Seagull in The Netherlands will re-broadcast the final two hours of this historic radio station. Back in 1974 the final programs went out via 538 meters, 558 kHz. Now, exactly 35 years later you can re-experience the moment when both Radio Veronica as well as democracy in The Netherlands, were silenced!
Spectrum Radio and Radio Seagull are proud to inform you that not only can you listen to the re-broadcast on 538 meters, 558 kHz from 2 till 4 pm Uk time (15.00-17.00 CET), but also all over London on DAB from 3-5 pm UK time (16.00-18.00 CET). To enable even more people to enjoy the re-broadcast of this milestone both programs are also available on the internet. For both internet feeds, please go to

Anmerkung: Das sich Spectrum Radio in London für sowas "hergibt", ist schon eine mittlere Sensation. Kann mich noch gut an die Störungen erinnern, die Ende der 80er die damals neu koordinierte Lokalstation für Caroline 558 (hatten Ende 1985 die Frequenz von Laser übernommen) bedeutete: Letztendlich den Umzug auf "Caroline 819".
