Hi Leute,
1. We are moving towards a full carrier expansion that will be completed
sometime next year.
At present we have both a new carrier, and the old carrier operating on
the Hotbird 3 satellite.
The new carrier is presently operating at an increased bandwidth, and
signal power; however
not at full power levels. We do not have the equipment in place to make
this happen; however we will soon.
The new Hotbird 3 carrier parameters are:
NOVEMBER 18 THE NEW SERVICE WILL BEGIN: IT WILL BE
TRANSPONDER 76 AND WILL CARRY EXACTLY THE SAME PROGRAMS AND
VIRTUAL CHANNELS. IT WILL BE AT:
EUTELSAT HOTBIRD 3, TRANSPONDER 76
DIGITAL
13 DEGREES EAST
FREQ:12.226 GHZ (CHANGE!)
FEC: 3/4
SYMBOL RATE: 12.8 MS/S (CHANGE!)
TYPICAL L-BAND FREQ: 1476 MHZ (CHANGE!)
LOCAL OSCILLATOR (LO) FREQ: 10.75GHZ
SIGNAL POLARIZATION: VERTICAL NETWORK ID#1: H-POL
SETTING TO PROVIDE 19V TO LNB FOR HIGH KU-BAND.
-OR-
NETWORK ID#4: V-POL SETTING TO PROVIDE 13V FOR POLARIZER
CONTROL.
To receive the new carrier all you will have to do is change the
present downlink frequency, and the
symbol rate in you satellite receiver.
We will keep our original carrier in operation until Dec. 15, 2003, and
we will shut it down after the 15th.
